I was tasked by Roxy to step in & help Paul in the coaching chair, i think i was more nervous then the girls as didn't fancy telling Roxy if it went wrong.
So here we Go into the 1st game of the season and we had the pleasure to be welcomed by Penn & Tylers Green at their New home ground.
You could tell there was some nervous players in the Reds line up,
The first 5 mins was a little disjointed while the nerves were settling down with most of the play in our end,
Quickly the Girls found their feet & started to play some good football and it got better and better.
Lacey, Becky, Ria & Kacey had some great shots on goal but they couldn't beat Penn's Goal keepers.
Lacey had a cracking shot which went inches over the cross bar.
Penn also had some good shots on goal but the safe hands of dancing Elsie kept them out.
Sofia was solid in defence not letting much get past her and when it did Sim, Ruby & Isa made light work of clearing it out.
Holly, Rebecca, Ria & Becky in Midfield kept strong across the middle feeding the ball forward to Lacey & Kacey up front but this game wasn't going to be the one we got our 1st goal.
As the time ticked away the Reds got better and better.
Both teams Deserved a point from this game,
Lacey was named star player from Penn and Tyler's Green.
For me I think we had 11 star players each giving 110% and thankfully I can hand back over to Roxy without saying sorry.

We move on to our next game at home against Burnham which are a tough team but if the girls played like they did on Saturday they will be standing strong and fighting for goals.
