Wow what a team performance

Wow what a team performance

Jonathan Sant1 Feb - 10:24

Finchampstead Fire Blues delivered one of their finest performances of the season, combining grit, flair, and sheer determination to secure a brilliant 3–1 win over Bracknell Wolves. It was a match full of character, quality, and togetherness, everythin

The opener was impressive. Tallulah seized on a loose ball after Lalia's pressing, firing a first-time shot from 25 yards, a highlight reel goal and a strong start for the Blues.

Ava doubled the lead with a sensational solo effort. She refused to give up on a seemingly lost cause, battled through challenges and showed exactly what happens when you keep persevering. A brilliant finish and a brilliant example to the whole squad.

With the final seconds ticking away and legs tiring, Tallulah somehow found another gear. She burst past two defenders, outpaced the goalkeeper and slotted home with composure. Determination, speed, and heart all in one moment.

The back line had to deal with more than just football. Some foul play and physical challenges came their way but they stood tall, battled hard, and refused to be rattled.
Faith was outstanding between the posts, making several important saves that kept Finchampstead in control. The team deserved a clean sheet and were desperately unlucky not to keep one.

The midfield and wingbacks had a great game and never let Bracknell settle into the game. A special mention goes to Eva Rose who slotted into the attacking midfield role when needed and delivered an intelligent performance linking play, pressing hard and supporting both ends of the pitch.

From first whistle to last, this was one of our best displays of the past few season. Every player contributed. Every player fought. Every player lifted the team.

The league and cup double remains firmly in our own hands. Seven huge league matches to go, a massive cup semi final ahead, and hopefully another final on the horizon!

Thank you Graham for running the line on a dodgy knee, taking endless stick from the Bracknell bench, managing the veo and providing a brilliant highlight reel.
Huge thanks to Dan for his unbelievable support. His calm presence and guidance helped the girls stay focused under fierce pressure.
Thanks you too all the parents, family members and friends for all their ongoing support which means everything to the girls. The atmosphere you create lifts the team every single week.
