Finchampstead Fire Blues started slowly again and went one down but the girls stuck at it, worked incredibly hard and with three minutes to go had turned the game around to lead 2–1. Sadly we conceded a late equaliser which is frustrating but the result was probably a fair one overall.

The highlight of the morning was Sadie scoring our second goal to put us ahead. It was a brilliantly taken finish and the whole team was absolutely delighted for her. A special shout out to Grace, who played much of the game in defence, a new role for her and she handled it superbly.

Unfortunately, the draw combined with Bracknell’s win means we can no longer win the league and Bracknell are now confirmed as champions. We remain firmly in control of finishing second and securing a trophy, so there is still plenty to play for and everything is in our own hands.
