Finchampstead Fire Blues secured their place in the cup final with an impressive 4–0 win over a determined Shinfield Rangers side. Shinfield worked incredibly hard throughout the match and made it difficult for us, especially in the early stages but the girls stuck at it, stayed patient and eventually our quality shone through.

Although we weren’t at our best, we were disciplined, organised and fully committed from start to finish. It’s always satisfying to come away with a well‑deserved clean sheet, and that’s full credit to the work that Faith, Ava, Lottie and Tay put in week after week. Our midfield was as busy as ever, providing strong cover for the defence while constantly looking for ways to break forward and attack the opposition, well played Laila, Abbie, Mellor, Grace, Lils, Ava and Sadie. Our front line was busy and always a threat and it’s great to have Eva back in the team, well done Eva and Tallulah.

Tallulah led the scoring with two good finishes, showing some composure in front of goal. Grace added a well struck effort of her own and Ava rounded things off with a smartly taken goal to seal the victory. A brilliant effort from all involved.
