A frustrating draw today away to League leaders Barton after showing incredible character and determination to come from behind and take a 2-1 lead in the closing stages of the game.

The ladies battled hard throughout, dug deep when things weren’t going our way, and showed real resilience to turn the game round. To fight back from a losing position and put ourselves in front so late on was a testament to the players spirit, work rate and commitment to each other.

Unfortunately, the result leaves a bitter taste, with inconsistent officiating decisions throughout the game adding to the frustration. To come so close to taking all three points, only to finish with a late late draw from a penalty in added (+) on time is tough to take.

However, there is huge pride in the team and the performance we put in. The result may not have been what we wanted, but the character displayed on the pitch was evident for all to see.

Amongst the frustration, there was a fantastic moment to celebrate - a brilliant first finch goal from Frida !! A special milestone and a moment to be proud of !

We take the positives, keep working hard and move forward together - plenty to build on and plenty to be proud of.

Onto the next game …….

Well done ladies :)
